My generation has compulsively recorded since we began using smartphones, accumulating thousands of digital memories.

Light Rumination is a growing collection of over 30,000 of these.

It explores how this material memory affects us: how it reinforces narratives about our lives, shapes our attention, and what happens when these videos leave their isolated contexts and are seen alongside others.

Supported by the The John J. and Marjory B. Lewin Photography Prize and shown in Light Rumination, solo show in the Weitman Gallery in St. Louis, MO.
